Dave:

Remember "Safety First". Ensure proper medical personnel are in attendance for this speed run. We've had to bury entirely too many trains crews of late. Wink

Thanks for the offer to sell me some ss track, Since I was down to only needing  11 foot to complete section 4, the realighened  main line. I now have all the track I'm going to USE . That will make the Main Line 175 with 2 passing sidings ( 1-45 & 46 ). I'm whating till this weekend to do a final mesurement. should be 260-270 feet of track with 4-10w switchs Powered with LGB sw motors. Then i can work getting some speed out of my 10 unit test train.

St Aubin Trains lists lots or Aristo stainless steel track on their web site.

Whether they actually have it in stock is not indicated.

Alan, the thread is about getting in new stock for the items that have been out of stock for MONTHS.

I'd also say that you can see what people are and are not using in terms of radii by what is still in stock... it kind of blows the theory that no one uses 10' diameter and above.

Glancing at the Aristo on-line store shows a fair amount of S/S USA style track as 'in stock'.  Admittedly some items are listed as 'out of stock' but well over 50% seems to be available.

There is no world wide shortage of SS, nor in China. I'll bet my paycheck it has not been ordered. Aristo's main focus right now is the new TE.

Think I'll hold onto my meager SS track for a couple more months before putting it onto EvilBay, need to make as much as I can with it.

   Have fun with your trains

I read over on the Aristo board that they are short on all track and the issue is at the factory.

As far as the price, the Chinese have just gone nuts. I may have a couple of sections I can sell you.

I was just informed by my LHS that they would not be getting any more SS  from Aristocraft till around the holidays. and I'm still around 9-10 foot short. But since I have been dealing there for almost 20 years they will hold some for me till next week.

2-5ft,4-3ft 4-8ft dia sections( 90 deg turn ) and 1-1ft $$$ total =$ 298.00  Whats happened to the price???
