WELL, AM I HAPPY, I FINALLY GOT IT.  ORDERED IN NOVEMBER OF 2008, AND READ WHERE IT WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN DECEMBER, THE SOO-LINE GP 38-2 IS IN MY GARAGE, JUST A FEW MONTHS LATER,"8".  HERE ARE SOME CLIPS OF ITS FIRST DAY ON THE TRACKS.

Like I said over on PB dot COM "I was going to recommend oiling your wheel sets until I realized it is birds. Looking good."

John:

GREAT!!!  I love the look of your railroad too.  Wish I could negotiate more right of way space with my wife so I could do something of that size.  Lack of successful negotians limits me to two small railroads on land that she does not want instead of the emire that I want Angry

HI AL,

I HAD ST. AUBINS INSTALL THE PHOENIX PB9 SOUND CARD.  I HAVE A PENN. ENGINE OF SAME TYPE WITH THE PHOENIX IN IT ALSO.  I NEED TO USE THE POWER CONTROL TO GET THE SOUNDS AVAILABLE FOR I HAVE NO REED SWITCHES.  I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVE A DAY IN WHICH I CAN RUN BOTH TOGETHER, A DAY WITHOUT THE FEAR OF RAIN...LIKE TODAY.

THANKS FOR THE COMMENT,  JOHN

HI RUDY,

THANKS FOR THE COMMENT.  I'VE HAD MY RAILROAD FOR SEVEN YEARS NOW AND MY WIFE HAS BEEN VERY GENEROUS WITH THE FUNDING.....I'M THE HOMEMAKER WITH THE BAD BACK.  WHEN YEAR 5 CAME AND HER PLANTS AND FLOWERS STARTED COMING UP IN THE SPRING, SHE STARTED TO LIKE WHAT SHE'S SEEING.  I'VE EVEN HAD A REQUEST FOR A "SMALL" TRAIN PUT ON THE TRACKS WHILE SHE'S OUTSIDE.  I DEARLY HAVE A LOVING WIFE!!!!  I DON'T KNOW WHO ELSE COULD PUT UP WITH ME AND MY OBSESSION "S"?

JOHN
