Question: How do I increase the volume on a Polar Express G gauge Train

 There is usually only three ways of increasing sound - more power (a bigger amp), a bigger/better speaker, or a combination of the two.

For 20 bucks (plus shipping) and some soldering you can put together bigger sound -

Thank you for taking the time to reply.  I try not to use a hearing aid, the wife is a pretty good translator. :)   I was hoping there was a resistor set or bridge that might be reduced in the tender to allow for greater volume.  I had not considered a seperate sound system with relays and magnets but that may be the best way of creating more sound and then running it through multiple sets of amplified speakers.  Thanks again for your support.

 Well perhaps I can help... I have been deaf since the age of 8 (measles) and I like music!!! My solution to the music problem was 50W Class A valve amplifiers and speakers 3 feet square. The solution to the train sound problem is not quite so major.... I don't know if you are using Cocleal Implants or a hearing aid (I have implants) It is possible to attach a short range transmitter to the speaker side of the loco and then the implants will pick it up. I had a "modified" Baby Alarm when my son was younger....

I recently purchased a Polar Express G Guage R/C train and would like to increase the volume of the sounds as I am hard of hearing.   Is there a way to do so with out significantly tearing the train or tender apart?  Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.  Thanks in advance.
