altterrain Mortar mix is what is normally used. Rinse off the dirt of your rocks before hand, mix up the mortar to the consistency of peanut butter. Make up only what you can use in 15 minutes. They usually sell cheap tubs to mix up mortar. I cheap garden hoe will do the job. Small and large trowels and maybe a pointing tool will come in handy. -Brian

And one very stiff brush to scrub off the mortar that "drips" out on the rocks where you don't want it. Either a wire brush, or a very stiff "polymer" brush, the kind that will take the skiin off the back of your hand.

Expanding foam filler works -but remember to "wet" the rocks first.

One of the firefighters that works for me is a tile contractor. He reccomends a material called 'thin-set' it is a mortar like material that is made to do just what you are asking about. Hope this helps. Thanks

I was just wondering how to bond rocks together, I'm building a retaining wall and have to bond rocks and flat rocks. The Flat rocks are almost like bricks in size and I need to be able to glue them together, any help would be appreciated.
