 Spike,

MTH did not buy out Lionel. However, they have some licensing agreements with Lionel. For instance, MTH will be making reproductions of pre-war Lionel tinplate trains/accessories.

Did "MTH" buy out Lionel?

I hope they did not bite off more than they can chew.

MTH makes they greatest product and at the best price.

I just wish they would/could make their delivery dates.

MTH has made their well detailed hopper in a new paint scheme with the Lionel logo on it. Their equipment looks much better in person than the Mfr illustration.
