I was hoping to add a smoking chimney to my outdoor brewery complex. Does anyone have a recommendation about what type of smoke unit to use, and how to wire it up (with what batteries) to work inside a structure?
Thanks!
Jason
You can get an Aristo smoke unit - http://www.micromark.com/SMOKE-GENERATOR,8116.html (cheaper here - http://www.ridgeroadstation.com/istar.asp?a=6&id=25529311!255)
Since you have lots of room and no with weight considerations I would a SLA (sealed lead acid battery) like those found in UPS units. They have a big capacity for the money.

and charger - http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2724
besides that you will just need wire, the right connectors (not sure what the smoke units need and alligator clips would work fine for the battery) and an on/off switch.
The Aristo smoked unit will run about 20 minutes a filling and I would use only the Aristo smoke fluid.
