Thats some darn nice work!
Have fun with your trains
We’ve had a few weeks of good weather giving us an opportunity to work outdoors. A good thing too; we’re hosting a Northern Nevada GRS meeting this summer. This new line down to Jamestown is the latest addition to the N-C-O Div. The project calls for a rock garden and 16” high retaining wall, with backfill, following an existing path on a natural hillside below the N-C-O Div mainline. The track plan is based on John Allan’s Timesaver (with scenery) and is for operation by kids and grownups alike.
The photos show rock garden area and retaining wall. The new line leaves the main at left and proceeds behind rocks and bush/trees to the Jamestown site at right.
New switch installed and Jamestown line diverging around hill; rock garden.
Photos show new line emerging from cut arriving at Jamestown. Spur on left is Team Track. Runaround and industrial spur on right.
This photo shows Jamestown area with track in place and proposed structure mockups.
We got 2” of snow this morning; they say the storm door is open for the week. I’ll be inside working on buildings.
Having fun, Rob
