As for my likes, I like a Large Scale railroad that can be flexible, in scale and fun to use. I lean toward Bachmann due to the heavy use of their equipment when I was in N Scale, but am open to other companies and products.

We live in Connecticut, USA, The Nutmeg State, home of the UCONN Huskies - NCAA national champs (men and women), need I say more?

My interest is in 3 foot gauge steam. I use Bachmann exclusively. Good stuff at a fair price. I kitbash and scratch build as well. Locos are battery powered with radio control.

We'll probably be moving to Florida within a year so I'm between layouts now. My next RR will be point to point with provisions for continuous running.

Adelaide, capital of the state of South Australia, known as the Festival State. We have some of the best wine country in the world, in fact this state has a bigger area of vineyards than France, Spain & California put together.
The state rail system is unusual, running to the broad gauge of 5'3". There is still one yard in the north of the state where 3 track gauges converge, 5'3", 4'8.5" and ng 3'6"
We're also unusual in that our local time zone differs by only half an hour from the next one East

Well I used to come from the planets smallest continent and its largest island; Australia but I have since learned that this is not correct. Australia is not a continent, it used to be but now it isn't it is part of the continent of Oceana. But I still live in Australia and love it wether its a continent or not.

It is the start of the football season here and i'm sure both Toe Nail ridge and Kawana Island follow the AFL (Australian Football League) own up to it Phil; who do you support the Crows or the Port? Living in Queensland and coming from Sydney I support the Swans with the Lions my second choice.

yes oops forgot to mention I'm in the UK, where it rains alot!. It's ok today tho but here april usually brings the showers!. I run what I can afford, and generally thats more LGB based, cos well Bachmann is expensive. I usually buy Bachmann off ebay and send it over it's still cheaper than here, ie I bought a Bachmann climax in the UK, paid £460 brand new. Thats about$814US Well prefer the Bachmann coaches to LGB, they look better!. Part from that I use Peco track, code 250 nickel silver rail. Tho everything is when I can afford it! LOL

We're from the twin cities of Minneapolis & St. Paul here in the "Semi Great White North" of Minnesota; land of ten thousand frozen lakes.
I run mostly Bachmann stuff with one pink and purple LGB 0-4-0 on the head end of our 24 yr. old daughter's TOON TOWN TRAIN. The TOON TRAIN looks like a fan trip with three gons filled with her Disney figure collection. Sarah has been collecting these figures for many years and has far more than will fit on her train.

Yup, Aussie Rules, played with an oval ball but similar to Irish Gaelic football. Commonly referred to as aerial ping-pong.
It takes leather balls to play Ozzie Rules!
Ian, I follow neither Crows nor the Power, prefer the local SANFL competition, but mostly football season exists to keep the TV crews busy until cricket starts again

Hi all
For the Aussies on the list it has to be the "Dockers"
I hail from the only place worth anything the Golden Mile the richest square mile of dirt there is in West Australia
I started with "OO" scale then went too "N" Back to "OO" then LGB ect and have now moved to a real scale 16mm which means I can have Live Steam the draw back I now have to learn how too scratch build.
but will not be restricted by what the manufacturers choose to make.

Hi,
I'm from the NW coast of England, Blackpool, a very busy tourist town with a tower that makes it a unique coastal resort. Luckily we also have a very good model shop that sells G, 1, 0, On30 & OO. I have a USA NW-2 and a Bachmann consolidation with a variety of Bachmann, LGB coaches/freight. We only moved here last October so my back garden, which is 60' x 20', will be going into construction mode any time now.

I am building LGB half indoors and half outdoors. The outdoor section is in a transparent roofed patio and it goes through a window into the indoor section that occupies 3 rooms in a semi-basement under the house.

I am amazed and pleased to associate with such a great bunch of people from such a wide range of geographical spots. This is how it should be. I ve been out of it a bit, i have my no 3 grandchild visiting at the moment and she takes up a fair bit of time. She is ten and wants to go surfing all the time.

To Cap; Yes it is the AFL that I follow and I agree it is awesome "the big men fly high". For all those who do not know about this spectacle. 36 very fast men on the field at once, three umpires (it moves so fast) played on an oval pich about 180 yards long, four sticks at each end no crossbar. No padding, not even arms in their shirts for most and only 4 reserves. Although I live in Queensland i come from Sydney, so of course i follow the Sydney Swans. Coming third at the moment out of 16. I hope you didn't take offence about your problem with Mobey ***.none was intended.

Sorry about the other week John the Dockers were ok though.

And Phil i'm also sorry about the Crows, sad time at the moment wth the wooden spoon.

You could classify that as mid atlantic seaboard of USA.

Have visited Florida, and would have had more fun from my $$$ by using a $!,000.00 bill as a cigarette lighter; if you don't play golf, fish, or go boating I don't see anything there I can't wait 4 months and see right here.

Went to Arizona, seen enough cactus and rattlesnakes to last the rest of my life!

Visited son in silicone valley, wasn't thrilled about that area either.

Hello I'm from New Zealand and I'm of Yorkshire/Southern Irish descent. I like small locos, tight curves, steep grades and light laid rails. The heroic age of New Zealand's railway history and all that kind of thing. My favourite locomotive is the NZGR 'R' Class 0-6-4 Single Fairlie which is soooooooo beautiful.


Here in New Zealand we have millions of sheep and the most common landscape colour is green and the trees are friendly. We have this game called Rugby which I know almost nuffing about, but we're supposed to be good at it. I think it involves teams of huge wild men who fight in a field and the winners get to eat the ball. Most other Rugby teams in the world are scared of us so I'm told. I know a lot more about women's netball though and we are THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!

NW Montana now, Born in the south, well ok the southern part of California. Moved around a bit being a military brat, landed in Montana for the majority of the growing up years. Had a sense of being and joined the military myself, in that journey I went from the east coast of the United States headed west until I reached the east coast of Africa. Started a new career and went from Montana to Oklahoma for 1 1/2 years then to south Texas for 2 years then back to Montana but in a different area. [:D]

Annie are you living in a dream world, Australia has about 7.5 sheep to each person 7.5 X 20 million = 150 million wherers NZ has 10 sheep per person X 3 million = 30 million not so good huh. The wallabies are not afrraid of the All Blacks and you havent been world champions in Rugby for nearly a decade now, Australia was for amny years until we lost to Great Britain last year.

Bondi in the astern suburbs of Sydney has more kiwis than anywhere else except Auckland.
