I've found that the old adage is usually correct, especially with tools; you get what you pay for! I got some of those cheepies one time and the jaws rounded the first time I used them! El cheepo screwdrivers had blades bend before the would turn the screws.
Hi, I agree with Capt Bob If you have small screws to undo or reverse once head is damaged it will be costly to have it drilled out should the need arise. Always always go for good quality tools
Age is only a state of mind, keep the mind active and enjoy life
Being a mechanic for right at thirty years, I have to agree you get what you pay for....but dangit......for small jobs, those could be pretty handy. Thanks for the find. I'm goin to Walgreens today. Sometimes you need a tool for a job it might not survive. You don't want a Snap On for that.
There's no question that good quality tools are a must - remember that there is "nothing more expensive than a cheap pair of shoes". But, I keep several mini toolboxes filled with inexpensive tools scattered around the house to take care of quicky repairs - saves me the trip to the basement to the shop. And of course Mama has her own stash of cheap tools that she's been using for years without too many problems.
