Does anyone have pictures of his work to post?

Very sad news. There are a few photos in the gorgouse garden RR book of his work.  I really liked his Dunkirk and cars.  That picture is what got me intrested in the big john engine.  I really liked his style.

That's too bad. I loved his layout and scratchbuilt geared steamers. His class B Dunkirk on the cover was the main inspiration behind mine.

He was a member of the CIGRYS.

I was honored to have him autograph my issue

Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

I'm sad to report that Gary Edlen, a fellow hobbyist whose layout was a cover story in GR, has passed away.

His railroad was featured in the December 2003 issue, the Cascade Timber & Mining RR. You can see a photo (it's the fourth one down on the page) here.

Our condolences to his family.
