National Guard coming in for training on the newly opened Reserve Components Training Area on the Lone Wolf Railroad! Wonder where the guy in the Humvee went? He must have gone inside for some hands on training!

Thanks,
Actually I turned 66 in October but I said then that I'll never have another birthday that I will admit to.
I have to say that I had one heck of a hard time getting the pictures on the forum along with the sizing.
Rudy:
OK, where did you find the A.V.L.B.? (For you non-Army types, that is the Armored Vehicle Launched Bridge in top right of the top photo.)

How do you launch a bridge, or is that Army inteligence?

Simple:
Step 1: Drive up to the gap that needs a bridge:
Step 2: Crank up the hydrolics, lift the bridge into the air.
Step 3: Spread the two sections of the bridge to cross the gap.
Step 4: Drive across the bridge.
A well-trained crew can put a bridge across a 60-foot ravine in about 10~15 minutes even when under hostile fire. Many more photos available, just GOOGLE AVLB.
Actually there are two AVLB's in the picture. The other one has launched the bridge over the gully and is sitting there with it's crew members in their holes. I found them on ebay doing a search for "AVLB."
These are the GI Joe versions and fit pretty much close to the right size. They pop up pretty often on ebay. They come with two phony cannons on the sides and I removed them and filled in the holes.
Not too many people know what an AVLB is except those who have crewed on them.
