Work done to Bachmann RGS 25 Annie
Posted by Mr_Ash on Saturday, January 3, 2009 2:19 AM

Well I love the RGS but I never liked this locomotive very much.... I think it was the steel cab just didnt look quite right Black Eye The doner cab I got had the red window frame and doors... didnt like it much but it grew on me so I kept them Black Eye

The plow is the same one I mounted on a couple diffrent D&RGW 4-6-0's in a few pictures, its gotten a few coats of paint and some more details since then.

Dont think I have posted any pictures of the RGS coaches I made up, got some decails from microscale and used the combine & coach from the D&RG Gold Rush Bmann starter set

Thankyou! Im getting pretty good with the decals I just need to quit getting so worried that Im going to mess up! This is the best "before" picture I could find of 25, I didnt like the loco much so it didnt get into many photos. The only mod done in this photo is a chain fron the front coupler to the drawbar, my niece broke the front drawbar and tender light off like the day after I got it I glued the drawbar back on and im saving the light for a future project Tongue

Also pictured is 179 on the top with the plow thats now on 25. 179 has diffrent valve gear on it now along with drivers that came from an undecorated annie so no more white walls! On the botom is 175. The drivers, motor and cab (painted) are from a big hauler the rest is an undecorated annie Black Eye

Aside from still needing to add marker lights, rerailers and a fireman im pretty much done with RGS 25's tender, I cut the plastic cover from a DVD case and glued it over the large open area under the fake coal load and tomorow I have the day off from work and would like to add a real coal load and hopefully finish this tender up!

I have a bowl full of coal that I broke up into small pieces that I think will look okay scale wise and I have white glue ... now am I saposed to mix the glue with somthing or water it down? whats the best way to go about doing this? Black Eye
