Great pictures guys.  The weather has been strange.  One day snow the next warm temps followed by more freezing cold.  I think im ready for spring so I can start my expansion on the RR

Weather in Kansas has been crazy this year.  We sure haven't seen much global warming.  This winter has been much colder overall than usual.  

 

However, this week, the weather outdid its self.......

 

   Friday:  All time high temperature in Wichita... 69F. 

 

   Saturday:   28F and several hours of snowing [only 1 in. managed to not melt off]. 

 

   Sunday weather:   47F and sunny.    Think I'll go run the new DRGW heavyweights that Santa brought.

 

Saturday's snow demanded that the RR be plowed.......

Passing the Ozark mountain village, approaching the "Dead Man's Drop" trestle.  Shortly after this picture was taken, the Mikado threw a traction tire, bringing operations to a sudden halt [tire caught on tie... immediately stopping train].

 

 

A week ago, we got a little more snow.  I did some plowing with the SD-45s.

Hi Snowshoe, Looks like you had a great time on christmas day, we over here we had a cold but bright day    no snow we all wish we got it at xmas. I would love to buy a snow plow but no use for it on my side of the pond.    Enjoy running trains

Well even after all the frezing rain and rain yesterday we managed to hold on to our snow cover.  Still over 6+ inches.  Now the tracks are cleared.  It was nice running trains today.  Merry Christmas everyone and hope everyone had a great x-mas
