GTE Del Mar Show
Posted by ttrigg on Saturday, December 13, 2008 7:52 PM

Everything trains and a bunch NOT. Spent the afternoon at the Del Mar Show. Lots of "new" "previously used" and "previously abused". This year the building is actually full of vendors and displays. Everything from Z to G. The Z vendors have the most that I have ever seen in a stateside show. Last time I saw that much Z in one place was the last time I was in Nurenburg. There is a sampling of G vendors, Bridge Masters is there in their normal size booth. Everything else in G could have fit in the bed of my pickup (91 Chevy S10) Del Oro Pacific has what I believe to be a couple of new consists, at least I do not remember seeing them before so I could be wrong: 1) A logging disconects of about 20(?) units and a logging (center beam) of about 9 log cars. Their MOW consist seems to be a bit longer, but was not able to positivly identify what is new (if anything). Vic: there is a good amount of "previously abused" G that I'm sure you could put to good use.

Forgot my camera so this is on the cell phone.

Not quite sure how ceramic elefant candle holders and Hot Wheels have to do with trains, but they are there.
