Looks like your next project should be a snowplow
I was just thinking about that today. I have small gondala from the hart mini series. Im thinking about trying to fit that with a plow. I have some nice PVS pipe already cut in half. Now I just need to fit two sides together to get the angle and then figure a way to attach it to the Gond.
Have fun with your trains

blownout cylinder OK. Just what do you do when the snow hits the fan? What gets stored, etc? Track maintenence? I'm sort of new in this....

I dont store anything, Structres stay out, that way they can get weathered. the rolling stock stays in the tunnel or on the siding. Thats what I like about the hartland mini series. You can leave them out and if anything happens to them I can just get new ones since they only cost 9-14 bucks. Very unlikley anything will happen to them unless I step on one. I really like the weathered used look anyway.
The important lesson I learned is make sure the track is clear of leaves before the snow hits. That way you can pget the train going without any prep. Other than that it is no different then any other day. Of course you have to love the cold and snow like me.
You do things like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgvxUFge2GU
Most (Not all) of us bring the trains inside when not running, any time of the year. A large number, especially those of us living in warmer climes leave the buildings outside all year.

Don't forget to put a bit of "extra" coal in the tender while snow is on the ground. You know the Conductor and Brakeman are going to grab a pail or two for the potbelly in the caboose. Add a few lumps for yourself.
Hi Snowshoe,
Looks like its comming to my side of the pond this weekend, they say it`s going to be -10f over here and that is cold for us. So may be we will get some white stuff, it would be nice to have a white christmas, can`t remember the last time we had one

Got our second snow of the season. First snow was 14 inches too much to run trains. This was more manageable (I think i spelt that wrong)
