GearDrivenSteam

This is the kinda stuff that has given me the motivation through the years to just sit down, open her up and figure it out myself.

What he said.

And, what's with the new crop of smileys? I find many of 'em, esp the pink things... uncongenial.

Try The train Shop in Santa Clara, They are just over the hill abit from you. Thy are in the advertiser sect in the back of any GR mag.

Model Train Repair Shops

This is not slanted towards the big name companies such as Aristro or Bachmann.  I have had no problems with their services.  The ones that I've had problems with are some of the ones that advertise on line with websites.  During the past two years I have had bad experiences with a big store/shop in Florida, one in Texas and a couple of others.

Finally found one in Michigan that I'm really happy with.  My problem here is there are no repair shops locally and a lot of the stuff I have is from companies that no longer offer support or have gone belly up.

Just sitting here venting I guess.  Have spent too much money shipping stuff out for repairs and sending stuff back for re-repairs at my expense SoapBox
