Modifying Hartland Wagon Kits for the Culcreuch Fold Garden Railway
Posted by Culcreuch on Monday, October 20, 2008 11:59 PM

An article in Garden Railways started me on this build from a 4 wheel H L W kit

First gather the kit and other materials

Following article at this stage.  Sides are from a locally (NZ) produced injected moulded styrene siding

 Nearly there

 In service

Anther makeover was this boom car for the MOW crane

This time a Hartland bogie flat car is modified. 3½ inches removed from centre to make a well wagon.

Well framing, 4mm styrene, in place

Decking now in place. Just tie downs and painting to be completed

Will post further photos in service
