One more time, this one like the above is copy/pasted and looks perfect before posting, what happens after clicking the "post" button:

One more Quickie, I have another boxcar, but wanted something a little different So I went from this, large way too big for narrow gauge: To this, some small diameter wheels I picked up down the line: Overall looks much more like a narrow gauge boxcar.

Stock wheels dont fit Scientific trucks, they are too wide so thats why I usually replace them with trucks, but these wheels allow for a nice different look.

El Cheepo conversion of Scientific Toys cars from Single axle to double axle bogie .Start with your typical very inexpensive type car:

.

.Remove the bogie, cut off the side frame:

.

.If you have New Bright trucks, its a straight conversion, no mods needed

.

.

.

If you have other trucks a shim will be necessary, this is two .40 styrene pieces:

.

.

make sure the shim is wide enought to allow the level bumps on the chassis to rest on the shim otherwise the car will wobble.

.

FInal product, I used a brass retainer with the screw to hold the truck. I have link and pins so thats what shown. If you have couplers on your trucks they go right along with the truck OK.

.
