One more Quickie, I have another boxcar, but wanted something a little different

So I went from this, large way too big for narow gauge:

To this, some small diameter wheels I picked up down the line:

Overall looks much more like a narrow gauge boxcar.

Stock wheels dont fit Scientific trucks, they are too wide so thats why I usually replace them with trucks, but these wheels allow for a nice different look.

El Cheepo conversion of Scientific Toys cars from Single axle to double axle bogie
Start with your typical very inexpensive type car:

Remove the bogie, cut off the side frame:

If you have New Bright trucks, its a straight conversion, no mods needed


If you have other trucks a shim will be necessary, this is two .40 styrene pieces:

FInal product, I have link and pins so thats what shown.
