I Prefer to log on to the old forum and look at "my topics" to see if anyone had answered those I had interest in. The site showed all of mine and highlighted the ones that were answered. Next I could go to active topics and scan all of them to see if I had an interest in any. The new system only shows ten, unless I'm  missing something? IMHO the site is not nearly as user friendly nor as much fun. Does anyone else share my opinion? Well, I screwed this up. I thought I was posting in general discussion for all categorys.
I suppose I'm a Dunce.

What I privately think is, you've got this forum confused with a different one. Laugh

The current forum is nowhere near as user friendly as before.  The first page of any - Trains, Garden Railways, Classic Trains - is taken up with a mammoth heading occupying nearly the entire screen.

So you're forced to use the mouse just to see what the 2nd thread is about.  After scrolling and finding a thread that you click on and read, and then try to return to go to the next one, upon returning you find youre at the beginning so must re-scroll down to where you were before!  Not, definitely NOT, user friendly.

Each posting takes up an awful amount of vertical space.  Blank space top and bottom; scroll, scroll, scroll just to read one posting.  Not user friendly.

And after spending eternity on one forum, scrolling, re-scrolling ad infinitum, trying to peruse another forum requires scrolling way back up the tree and then coming down another root. Again, not user friendly.

Wonder where the Round-up or Spectricide is?  This vermin of a forum is killing my mouse!

Don't wander in here much any more.

Hey, my wife just got me a cell phone, she says our TV has a remote, she says we don't have a front wheel drive car. I should have worked for the CIA, my life is a secret mission. I don't know what's happening till it happens.

I love my trains, Rob

Oh man that is a way bad thing if the wifey got you a cell phone! She will be sure your not at Sue Ann's house running trains. As for the TV we train men just don't have that much time in a day! Remember to grease the universal joints on the fornt wheel drive!!!!!! But for the CIA you did work for them as for the MIBs. So Rob if you don't know what is happening till it does you and me are in the same boat. Cowboy

Hey TJ, Can't you just let us dinosaurs fossilize???   Why do you have to drag us kicking and screaming into the New Century?    Next thing you'll have us buying nuke power packs to run our trains!

How did you feel when cell phones first came into use?  Or when you got a TV with a remote control for the first time?  Remember when nobody wanted a front wheel drive car?  Sure you do.  And you'll get used to the new forum too.

Yea, the new forum looks really nice.  But is a complete pain in the neck for users.
