Bucksco

Toad,

You don't have to like the train. It's the "Pinko" thing that a bit over the edge.

Well I felt like I needed to after the letter I received from you.

I do apologize to Buckso/Jack/Piko for saying what I felt, even as a right of a American.

Bucksco
hat is "Pinko"?

Jack: It is obvious that you have not learned to read toad.  You need to realize that since he is typing with a couple of spare digits, he punches in a few extra letters.

dro the "n" and you'll got to what he was talking about.

I just will wait till "they" put out some American products to see if the price is higher which I feel will be or can we still get low prices from the dealers.

As for Pinko (correct name) there fueling station for tankers is SO HIGH who is buying this stuff???

Glade I am doing a Estate Sale and still sawn trees and burning with redoing my garage. Maybe by that time things will settle and be in place.

I doubt it. Laugh

Just went out to the Marklin site and found this "55037 1 Gauge Digital Mega Starter Set with 2 Trains and Central Station $3950.00"   Four grand for a STARTER SET.  Not exactly what I would call a starter price point.  For that price you get two trains with two cars each and oval of track with a siding.

Yes it is all metal, probably very durable, looks nice.  Now I coulld be wrong on this point and if I am please feel free to correct my error, this seems to be a stopping point at getting new comers into large scale railroading.

2: I can't wait to see what the Peso...I mean Dollar to Euro exchange rate does to the prices

I take personal umbrage to that comment. I live 60 miles north of the international border (as it is drawn on any map.) However I live 30 miles south of the immigration checkpoints. Now I gotta change my greenbacks into peso and then change the peso into Euros? Forget it, I’ll buy Chinese first since, even if it is full of lead paint.

Well thats another thing resolved, Its a good thing but 2 things I'm still pondering:

1: Who will be the Distributor? Walthers? Silvergate? someone else?

2: I can't wait to see what the Peso...I mean Dollar to Euro exchange rate does to the prices, if you've seen the prices asked in Europe or England, even discounting the VAT its Dead

Be nice to have the track back and hopefully a return of the spare parts supply.

   Have fun with your trains
