Rebuilt one of my Geese
Posted by vsmith on Thursday, October 16, 2008 11:20 PM

This is what I had, but I short circuited the motor block, so after having it sit on my bench for months, I rebuilt it with an LGB handcar drive that likewise had been sitting around taking up space, had to cut a hole in the bed for the motor, but after adding a cargo load it looks pretty good. I also cut the bed short.

Vic: you always amaze me with your work.  How do you do so much in such a short period.  If you dont have anything to run these on you can always send them my way.  I can make great use of them.  I think your kitbashed engines might like NJ better than CA.  Smile,Wink, & Grin

Snowshoe; Those are CA engines and will only operate in the warmer climates like southern California. It gets entirely too cold there in NJ for any of "Vic’s Fixs" to run properly. He needs to "rent" them out to the sandy eggo crowd.

ttrigg: I dont know, I think once those engines get a taste of a good ol northeast winter they wont want to go back to that smoggy CA weather.  I bet they will run much better in my clean cold air.  They will run forever.Cool
