I was not getting any connection between the 2 so I called and talked to Al.  Over the phone we walked through it and still no luck.  Speaking with a fellow hobbiest on the phone after that, he convinced me the wiring was misplaced so I changed it and fried the decoder.  So..... it is now with Al at airwire and he is checking the extent of the damage.

If the transmitter and receiver are new, you don't have to do anything to progtam them. By default, they are both on frequenct 0 and set to an address of 3.

Do you need specific instructions on the receiver and/or transmitter?

Hi Barry,  You must not have the booklets that come with the Airwire products for they are very plain and easy to use.  I have 4 steam locos on AirWire with Phoenix P-5 sound and can only 3 at a time due to the size of my garden but capable of all four with the T9000 throttle.       Set the decoder with a frequency for that loco, then program the T9000 for that decoder, a simple and short step.  This allow you to jump back and forth between locos.

You can down load information  from CVP Products
