Place to run my Dash 9 live diesel

Yes, I will run the exhaust to the stack.  I plan on using the stock exhaust manifold and muffler that came with the engine. But I will run flexible hose from the muffler to the stack.  

 

Yes, I will have to deal with the glow plug.  I plan on starting it with the shell off, because I will have to connect a power source to the generator to get it to turn over the engine.

You going to vent the muffler at the stack?

Seeing it is a four stroke do you still have to do the glow plug thing? And if so how will you start it if the shell is down?

This is an O.S. FS 30,  4 stroke engine. This engine is typically used in model airplanes, but some RC cars now use 4 strokes as well.  This engine burns a mixed RC fuel (methanol and castor oil).

I am currently converting an Aristocraft Dash 9 (1:29th scale) to live diesel and will soon need a place to run it. Those of you familiar with diesels this large know that it requires a minimum of an 8 foot radius to operate.  I live near the Richmond, Va area and would like to find a place within 2-3 hours of the Richmond area.

 

 

 

If yer ever to drive to my neck'a Da sand, WDW area, bring it along, mine are minimum 11.5 ft, I run double headed Dash 9's and Mallet's........
