They used to run from Kane to the Kinzua Viaduct but the Bridge was destroyed by a twister on July 21, 2003. With no birdge the RR never operated again. It's to bad as since I am from that area it was one of my favorite RRs. They actually bought 2 new steam locos that were made in China and shipped over here to use on the RR.  http://www.kinzuabridge.com

I would say cause of insurance and price of stuff gone up.

Texas State Railroad almost went under here.

It is like "grandpaw, what was it like?" Sad to say but might come to that.

 The Knox And Kane RailRoad  in PENNA.is selling everything from steam engines to passenger cars on

October 10th and 11th ,it was in are local paper today  Sunday SEPTEMBER 27 -08   .  Another old railroad will be gone .  I  rode this railroad 2 times before it stopped.   BEN
