I thought he misunderstood your talking about removing the buckets in the background. There is something in the foreground that kind of looks like Mickey Mouse's ears in the second picture. I'd like to think that's what he was saying, anyway.
Nice engine, btw. HUGE improvement!
Take care,
Matt
Hi Snowshoe
At the risk of stepping on a mine
Well you could get a set of very nice etched brass name plates "Mickey Mouse" and put them on the cab side that would be bit of fun find out how old the venerable mouse is and make that the loco number
But being serious what the loco really needs is a crew you got a runaway train there
It does look like locomotive now you should be pleased with your efforts, do beware of over doing the detail though thats just as bad as under doing the detail.
Over under can be a tough call

Shoeman,
Dang that looks WAY better!!!!!! Would have thought you had another engine if you did not say you did some kitbashing. Sweet man!
I got a few more details done with my engine. I used that matte finish for the front of engine to tone the shine down. Made a difference. I also painted the front # plate and bell. I also painted the window trim and I decided to paint the inside of the cab black. I also put a wooden bumper on the front and I made two grab rails in the back from some wire I had laying around. Still have weather to do and also need to get a new whistle for the top. The plastic one broke a while back.
