I was watching the special on the History channel last night when my wife looked over my shoulder and asked, "Why would you want to watch that again", I told her so that we never forget just how horribal it was, as a country we have the habit of forgetting the details and minumizing the horror over time.
I work as an Emt and know that the Emts who were working in NY that day had their skills tested beyound what any of us could have ever imagined on one hand I wish I could have been there too help and on the other I'm thankful that I didn't have to test my skills too that level.
I always make it a point to thank the service members I come in contact with and I think everyone should, I take part in the adopt a soldier program through our EMS region and have become friends with a medic over in Iraq, I wish I could do more.
I tried to enlist as a medic but I was over the age cut off for all the branches so all I can do now is support our troops from home.
Thank you for posting this, I was wondering if anyone was going to do something here, I know it is a hobby site but this is an exception I think.
Siyo Red Horse, Many Thanks to your People and Elders. Thanks to your service that is unforgiving may you touch others lives in a gental way they understand.

Hi Toad, As some one who was there on that day, I will never forget it. It has taken a few years to return and see the changes that are taking place there. We felt we had to return to lay the ghosts of 9/11 i`m pleased we did and can now move on. When that happened our family in the UK new where we were going to be on that day at that time and as most telephone lines were down it was 3 days before we could tell them we were ok. so many people were afected by it not only the ones in New York but around the world
