Wada Works (www.users.erols.com/diesel/wada/diesel.html) also makes lives diesels, the GP9. You can also go onto youtube.com to view them in action.    I am currently converting an Aristo-Craft Dash 9 to live diesel and will soon need a place to run it.  I live near the Richmond VA, area.

As far as 1.5" scale goes, you can have just about any model you want in whatever paint.  1.5" diesels typically use either a battery-electric or gas-hydraulic drive.  Electrics are usually a little more pricy, though in my opinion are far superior (sound systems can provide prototypical noise) to the gas engines (which sometimes sounds more like a lawnmower than a locomotive).

RailSystems is a popular supplier of gas-hydraulic kits and rtr locomotives. http://www.railsystemsco.com/

The fellow club member with the "Pilgrim Tradesman" has had it for over 5 years now and all he seems to do is replace the glow pug. It is that boringly reliable...

THANK YOU CABBAGE & SOUTHWEST CHIEF FOR TAKING THE TIME TO RESPOND. AT LEAST I NOW KNOW THAT THERE IS SOMETHING OUT THERE AS AN OPTION TO "ELECTRIC" DIESELS. Smile [:)] DOES ANYONE HERE HAVE ANY GOOD OR BAD EXPERIANCES WITH THEM? RELIABILITY? REPAIR PARTS? WARRANTY? ECT.? I'M JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT AS MUCH AS I CAN BEFORE I BUY ONE. THANX ONCE AGAIN.
