Boy!!! if I had $125,000, I could have a really cool ,large RR. Its hard to believe some folks can hand over that kind of cash.... its taken me 13 years and many a weekend jobs to get this far.
No, they will try again in Oct. they did not have enough man/woman power to do it.

Incidentally Mrty, I was reading on a Yahoo Group (Colorado interest) of Soda Ash trains which haul well over a 100 cars. Someone said the most they had counted was 186....
I think I would have a job finding space for that many on my rails here.

Yes, that's him. No, they didn't come close. They're was much discussion of it over on LSOL. I stayed out of it since my dealing with "the railroad gal" over here left me with a less than favorable impression. They even had a live stream you could watch online. They used a Locolinc set up but had quite a few inexperienced operators. Not sure of the status of the cars. He has a half page ad in the new GR about retrying in October and asking for help. So go and sign up!

Actually, I'm working on a couple of garden railroad projects now. I'll post a few pics when there's more to show.

Sorry Ben. Your $125,000 does not include buildings, engines or any rolling stock.
Can not think why I need to say anything but think his footers are creet, track, lodging, food, gas to where ever you might be, 10 yr no questions ask, water feature (what type not sure), I know it is for the rich because I dead broke. Wrose then all ya'll!
Best thing is to ask a customer of his is it worth it.

BTY I am not cheap when I work, last crain I was on 120.00 hour, JLG near high lines 250.00, RT Crain 85.00, etc...Dozer, which type Case 850G 58.00. And yeah I work my tail off! Other heavy equipment just ask. 9/11 cut my jobs back to 0!

Takes fun outta building it too, I got over 100 "G" scale engines alone, plus a HUGE !!!! "O" scale collection to-boot, more then 2500 foot of stainless "G" track and everything, to much to name.....an I got about half that in all of it.
That's no fun......even with all the experimental headaches an all to build it yer self....I guess that's fuel mark-up....

Mind you, with all the maintenance assosciated with large railroads I think I will stick with what I have got.

That 'thermostat' is a copyright mark, or near thereunto. All the pixes have 'em. Well, the other two I checked, did.
Umm ... those wires' insulation look okay. Hidden wires cost more.

Truth be known love you or Jack to help me so I learn and learn different parts to G gauge. No one around here does it! But still no train shop building up yet and I am NOT going to build till it gets in and don't have to roll over the track.
