My annual request for large-scale holiday displays
Posted by Rene Schweitzer on Friday, June 6, 2008 9:19 AM
For several years, Garden Railways has run a large-scale holiday displays
article that listed events open to the public during the holiday season.
These articles have been well received, so we're continuing the tradition.
I'm writing to solicit events for this year's article, to appear in our
December 2008 issue.

These events can include temporary or permanent displays and be put on by
an individual, group of people, or an entire club. The only requirements
are that they are open to the public during the holiday season and feature
large-scale trains. If you have friends or family that put on a display,
please pass the word along. We would like to include events from as many
states and countries as possible.

If you have an event you'd like included, please email me the following
information (rschweitzer @ kalmbach.com):
State where located
Name of display
Location of display (including street address, city, ZIP, etc.)
Contact person with phone number and/or e-mail
Dates of display
Hours of operation (if known)
Admission fee
Web site, if there is one

We will also need a few photographs to accompany the article, so if you
have any clear snapshots (no Polaroids, please), please contact me. If you
have digital photos, please contact me before sending anything so I can
verify the quality. I'll need your responses and information no later than July 18, 2008.

Thank you for your participation. If you have any questions, please e-mail me and I'll be happy to help.
