Hartland mini series scale ?

Hartland is nominaly 1/24, LGB is nominaly 1/22.5 :- LGB measured with a very elastic ruler

As the Hartland Mini's are industrial cars they would more than likely have been made in the company workshop to what ever the size the company wanted.

When using out of the box stock it is best to work on if it looks right it is right.

The Hartland mini's work well with a number of different brands including some of the live steam stuff.

Best thing as far as scale goes is pick a scale and adjust any bits that don't match, the scale as you build or bash eg dooors and windows and any details you add to the cars as you make them what you want.

You need to experiment some sort of spacer bar to run between some of the log cars so your company can carry bigger logs if it needs to.

Perhaps some 3mm/ 1/8th bronzing rod or old brass HO rail, silver soldered to some brass washers in place of the couplings at one end of the cars ?? , so you can space them out a little bit more say add an extra 1/2 inch to 1 inch ?? in the car spacing .

Don't forget to fit metal wheels when you can afford it blackend Aristocraft wheels are ideal replacement wheels.

Had to think about that answer so it's $4 dollars worth

I got my two log cars and Gondola (going to converte into a tender)  It looks good with my LGB engine from the value starter set.  I want to use my Bachmann logging caboose with it but not sure if it looks silly.  I am also converting the  LGB passenger car into a boxcar.  The box car I can make a little smaller unless I can get away with the current size.  I am shooting for 1:20-1:22 scale. Will this work or does it really look silly together worst. I am looking for an industrial RR that will work with my Bachmann. Here are some pictures with the combinations. Be honest and any ideas will be great.  I am still having a hard time with this scale thing especially when throwing industrial stock into the mix.
