The planks might even be from the old chesnuts before they died off. We have a lot of structures and fence posts in my area that were made from the American chesnut tree and still standing today..

It was used to bring up rock and material to Sunrise Mt where the civilian conservation corp built this shelter. I though it was cool since it fits the industrial RR. Here are the pics of the cart and the shelter that was built. It was built during the great depresion. When the right time comes I want to see if I can buy it from my work . It would look great on my lawn.

EH' Shoe,
That'ed look great on any lawn, but where it is......see if they'ed at least let you dig it out an save it from further deterioration and move it to your place ASAP, I'd just ask'em if it was me, who knows, maybe if ya tell'em what yer doing and building, they might just give it to ya.....worth a try ???? I myself, plan to ask someone in the Taft Yard (CSX), south of Orlando, for some old used items in the near future.....Don't hurt just to ask, all's they can do is just say NO !!!!!
