Great day to run trains
Posted by SNOWSHOE on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 6:55 PM

I finally fixed my 4-6-0.  I kept having problems with the lead truck derailing.  I first tried weights with no luck.  Then I spread the wheels out   a little and it did the trick. ( I alos order a lead truck from Barry.  When I got it in I will use that) Had the trains running all day without an accident.  Eventually I want to weather my trains and have just short box cars and short logging cars with a logging caboose. (Logging RR) Winters projects.  Here are some pictures of my bach running.  Eventually my shots will get more realistic looking as things grow.

Thanks toad. I still have a lot more to go.  Still want to add some plants, I have a whole corner to work on, build some tunnel portals and I still have to add my side track off the switch. Thats going to be my logging operation/sawmill.   Plus some structures like a mountain farm,  cabin and a fire tower.

Cool Beans! I just saw your post over on the bachmann forums and was going to send you a PM here to see if you had any luck fixing the problem and saw this post lol Big Smile [:D]

Toad is right though you have gotten alot done it short time, I dont even have any track down yet im still working on finishing up getting the roadbed down that I started in the fall! I need to stop messing around with the trains inside and get back to work outside now that it has warmed up Dead [xx(]

Cant wait to see your setup more finished with the stuff you just said it already looks great!

Thanks, I did get a lot more done than I thought.  Everything went smooth.  Whenever I got to a part I though was going to take time ended being easy.   My main goal was to get the track down and worry about planting latter.  When I saw that  under 4 bucks I could get Dwarf Spruce etc... I jumped on it.  I ended up getting what I needed. I still have a lot of fine details to work on.
