Well not quite museum quality but its sure better than stock!
I brought the caboose with me to work tonight to take a few better pictures, since the last photos I closed it the middle part between the wheels with two reefer doors that I notched so they would fit right to hide the weights that I added because the caboose would often derail going through turnouts. Wheels are Aristocraft-silver and the Brakeman is from Bachmann
I use the stuff in kitchen ceilings called "cracked ice." It's a plastic sheet 2 ft by 2 feet and fits in kitchen ceiling fixtures. Tell the wife you're replacing hers with new ones, then use the old ones for windows for life!
Light shines through, but the cracked ice finish obscures the inside.

You can use a CD jewel case, clear plastic, cut and put in...boom new window!

Well... I switched the botom part back to the original bachmann one...
When I put everything together the caboose with the botom from the aristo track cleaning car with the wood deck I built was taller than any other car I have, even taller than my 4axel LGB bobber that held the title of tallest roof that and the body mount couplers were to high... so yeah all that work for nothing... atleast I didnt paint the handrails!
IDK that aristo track cleaning car seemed to stress my engines more than anything anyway...
Im still happy with what i have and im not done yet hehe

took a few days to get a couple pictures sorry my dad stole my digital camera when he went on vecation with my grandma a few days ago so once again prepare for the craptastical cellphone pic's lol
I desided not to paint the railings white as I foolishly glued the plastic ones on the caboose body before I started so painting them would be a pain in the rear. Cupola windows and side windows are installed, interior is painted and I bombed it with dull coat. I lost the plastic pieces i cut out for the end windows so im just going to leave them open. also desided to go with body mounted couplers
still messing with this darn caboose, added cupola seats, benches and a stove inside. Ditched the Bmann 2axel lower half and replaced it with the lower part from a Aristo track cleaning caboose with a wood deck glued down and ozark passenger car end rails and D&RGW Caboose steps. I desided to make it my track cleaning car because otherwise I would never use it plus im not that fond of the Aristo bobber cabeese
Once i cut out the + on side windows I found that the side windows from the aristo caboose fit after a little sanding to the holes so thats kinda cool the side windows will have the wood frames. I cutup CD cases for the cupola and end windows.
I still need to paint the interior I havent found the right shade green yet once thats done im going to paint the window frames & railings white, bomb it with dull coat and reinstall the windows.
I got more work to do to it in the morning when i get home from work and I found my memory card for the digital camera so I will take a couple pictures of the progress

CA - cyanoacrylate aka super glue
GOOP - I use the Household type (also comes in Marine, Plumbing, etc.) will stick to anything. You'll find it with the other glues in the paint dept of the home box store.

CA or GOOP? Im guessing these are diffrent brands of glue? I tried before using plastic on it like you said only with superglue but it didnt seem to want to stick and made a bit of a mess. Where can I get these other types of glue?
Use some clear plastic packaging material (the kind that is impossible to open). Glue it in with CA or GOOP.
I have a Bmann Durango & Silverton bobber caboose that came with the D&S freight set I got last year, I had given it to my sisters kid with the LGB type loop couplers to play with his LGB starter set as it was the same size as the 2 axel car's in his set...
Anyway this last month or so the kid has taken more of a liking to my trains and I let him run one of the D&S bumblebee engines (Bmann 4-6-0) with a D&S passenger car, boxcar and bobber caboose that came with the sets.
The caboose was a little beat up from him playing with it, he had broken the couplers off so I glued them back on and had to again break them back off since my stuff all has kadee couplers
I used 779 still mount kadee couplers on the caboose and installed new break wheels as the orignals were missing, had to steal the ladders and a few other parts from another caboose lol. Then glued all the handrails inplace some were broken so they got fixed too i think these will all be getting painted soon... Oh yeah and I installed aristo marker lights that I stole off my D&RGW track cleaning caboose and glued a lil ozark roof vent centered ontop of the cupola... Ill take some pictures when I get home from work!
What would be the best way to add "Glass" to the windows?
LOL I never really liked the Bachmann cabeese but I'm bored and having fun fixing this one up.... I should be working on my Flanger car though
