Enginear,

Yes, the MR trackplan database does require a subscription to MR. If you subscribe to GR, it doesn't transfer to MR. I checked the database for you, and there are only 9 plans under the G scale category. MR will run large-scale railroads/garden railroads, but not too often.

When I originally got into G scale that was all I read. I now find myself reading and buying the odd issue of Model Railroader to look for new ideas.Garden Railways magazine doesn't put out enough isues in the course of a year, so I guess I buy them just to fill that gap between issues, I also know several G scale retailers who advertise in Model Railroader. There are a number of G scalers that are not aware that Garden Railways magazine even exists. The magazine cannot be found in your everyday magazine shop and only found in Chapters. They call this the information age, but I wonder about that. Regards, Dennis.

track plans not accessable?

I just saw a ad for subscribing to model railroad mag which I have gotten for years but has expired. The ad said track plans available for search and download. One of the first pages asked which scale plans do you want to look at. Of course it lists G scale but you can't even look at them without a mr subscript. So who runs G scale but looks for G plans in MR which has no other large scale info??? Maybe Garden rails will have a link to the plans?
