A mountain and two water falls are planned to be framed into the carport framing there for a distance of about 15 feet long and about 4 to 5 foot high.

Today.....
A double track mainline will come up and than back down, to another storage ladder yard (upper level) inside of the train room. There will also be another pond with fountains and water-jets shooting across the driveway, over the car, between each of the two ponds, with colored night lighting on them. A miniature of Chicago, will be built on the land area of the second garden/pond area there. With a future loop of "O" scale stainless Gargraves track, raised above the level of the "G" scale, to replicate the "L" trains of down-town Chicago.

The main line has been divided into two loops now for separate trains to run, un-attended, during club meets. If so desired.

There is a new extension to the former 11 foot by 35 foot train room, being added that will provide an area, roughly 15 foot by 21 foot more space, it's also to be enclosed, A/C'd and heated, to build the future "O" scale layout in on a third level up table layout, as well as for storage tracks expansion of the "G" scale storage areas, and some more "BOX" storage too.....

A lot of enjoyable work John, and yes I do like to have people enjoy seeing the operation, as you can see I reside in a mobile home park, and there is a timeshare resort at the front of our park, as well as a campgrounds here too, many visitors come from the world over, to see the layout, the word does get around.
The office sales personel even show my place to prospective home buyers...
Dave, I presently have a main-line of about 800 to 1000 foot, with an additional 200 foot of storage tracks right now, up and operational. The new additional mainline and storage areas should more than double the present trackage. A total of five separate loops will be designed into the completed layout mainline, and all trackage will be connected together as one complete line. With storage switch areas incorporated even inside of the mountains, for auxilliary trains to be switched around and run into themed areas.
The aim here is to have an operation, where-by I will not have to remove any of the trains from the track, of course, accept for needed maintenance and for club meets at homes of fellow members....

Great layout and that's putting it mildly!
We lived in a mobile home park for a number of years before moving into this house 13 years ago. If I did something like that in my yard at the mobile home we would have been evicted on the spot. I had to settle for a little N gauge layout inside and even back then my fingers did not do well with N.
Even having your layout out in the open for all to see would be a problem here. Good neighbor hood and all but the temptation would be too great for someone to either rip it off or rip it up.
The only neighbors that know I have trains in my backyard are the ones behind us and they think I'm crazy for sure so they don't mess with my stuff. To me messing around with my stuff in my pajamas at 5 AM in a drizzle is normal. To non train people it's crazy

There has been one neighbor who seems to just have nothing better to do than complain about things, most all seem to really enjoy and appriciate what I am accomplishing.
I am trying to get the outside to a point now where I can cease for the HOT LONG Summer and build on the inside "0" scale layout for the months of the heat.

Fountains an all are perfoming just fine......
Got a load of dirt in to fill the lower pond in after the Wash-out last summer....Just wait'in for the heat to break, they say it should by this week-end......sure hope so....
Wait'in for the water to dry up also, been rain'en way too much.......

Yeah we need the rain, grass ain't doing so well and where the areas we have drove on taking stumps/limbs to the burn pile is gone!
Ike did not "dump" alot of rain on us just wind. If I remember was like 8" - 10" rain fall and we was still in a dry spell.
Now again I see another TS Depression has formed.
