Märkin track is also not compatible with any other track, nor is it really meant for outdoor use.

Kyboy, Lionel G scale track is definitely not compatible with any other brand; it is hollow rail, bent up from sheet metal, and uses pin connectors instead of rail joiners. And it is too flimsy to be used outdoors...you can only step on it once!!! Hope this helps.

LGB, Aristo, USA Trains, and Piko track are all interchangeable. Basically, you're looking for what's called "code 332" rail (i.e., rail that's .332" tall). There are other manufacturers who make switches and offer flext track with that size rail which will also be compatible.

There's also code 250 rail, though you won't find that in sectional track like the brands mentioned above.

Hello, everyone!

I have started my garden railroad and am in need of more track.  My local train store said that ALL G-scale track was compatable.  Is that true???

I read several posts here and learned that Bachmann should never be used outside....and that LGB and Aristo track are compatable.  What about the Lionel G-scale track....is it compatable with LGB and Aristo?  And I have seen some other brands of track that I am not at all familiar with.

What track will work with what track???  H E L P !
