So if you have removed 12 long screws and 4 short screws, the shell should easily lift off. If you then want access to the cab, unhook the door springs and push on the 4 tabs holding the cab to the shell.

Help Please,

I was hoping to take the locomotive apart in order to check the internal sound board  by unscrewing the 8 deep recessed screws under the chasis, and I even undid the 4 screws from the cab and unscrewed the 2 coupling assemblies - I still can't lift off the housing. Are there hidden tabs that hold the body to the chasis? I would appreciate anybodys help that would prevent me from damaging the model.
