Chuck,

Yes the buildings are made for outdoors.  The lumber is from cedar and redwood fence pickets perserved, painted, stained with outdoor Behr products.  The plans are mostly Garden-Texture with some of my own mods.  The barn is one that I drew up from memory of my dad's barn in SW Oregon.  I've had a G-T saw mill outdoors here in AZ for the better part of 10 years so I expect these new ones to do just as well at my new layout in Pinetop.

Rex,

Thanks for the info.  The bungalow looks sharp.  Are you planning on putting those outside?  How well will they hold up, I wonder?

Regards,

Chuck

Coogler Rail,

Building the barn only took a day.  Applying wood perservative and the roof took another day although I had a long wait for the roofing to come in.  If you plan to shingle a roof then add another day as it takes awhile to split shingles and apply them.

Hope this helps,

Rex

PS  Here are some pictures of the Bungalow I just finished.  I build my own doors and windows which takes more time as well.  I have plenty of time right now and not much cash for hobbies so this works out well.

Looks great.  How long did it take to build it?  I am gathering resources to start building my own structures.

Yep the barn is finished.  The roofing materials came yesterday.  Got them painted and installed today.

And I couldn't resist rubbing it in for those of you with really bad weather - here is a shot of  our cruise ship docked in Grenada last week.
