Hi Two-tone

I contacted Phoenix about hooking it up. I didn't think of it but the book was right. the signal for the bell and whistle apparently travel through the power feed to the sound board from the decoder. Well the bell and whistle worked fine. The only part that was a pain was wiring up the cab and number coards to a function switch to turn them on and off. Thank you again for the suggestion.

Dcc and Phoenix 2K2
Posted by simisal on Friday, February 22, 2008 1:05 PM

I read more than post, but this time I have a question. I want to convert to DCC. I have a Phoenix Big sound 2K2 in a USA Alco S4 and right now the sound come from the voltage off the track. My question is if I switch to DCC, do I wire up the sounds (bell & whistle) like it is shown in the book for a remote control system?

For power input I planned to parallel the power input to the board with the power leads to the motors.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks
