You might go at this with two different methods.
For the lights, you might consider using a nightlight, the LED ones use very little power, and they have a sensor to turn them on when it gets dark.

For the music end, there are plenty of motion triggered items out in the market, some that do Christmas tunes, some that quack, croak like a frog, bark like a dog, etc. If you are looking for specific tunes from something other than Christmas, then you will have to do some more digging.

For Christmas I bought myse - oops, I mean my wife - an Aristocraft church to put in the ornamental bushes around our front entrance. I would like to add lights and a motion sensor-controlled MP3 system to play church songs when people come to the door. Has anyone done this? Do you have any suggestions?
