I'm stripping them anyways - who wants a bunch of bland 10 wheelers anyways
this is what i'm doing to the first one...
Don't get too excited because they're stripped of anything that doesn't show. Not only do the locos not have motors, they also don't even have the pickups. But, they're good for parts and the cars are the same except for no interior lights or couplers.
Funny story - a local hobby store picked up a display a few years ago and sold it. The buyer brought it back because it wouldn't run :) Hard to imagine how the hobby store owner didn't figure this out because the locos don't have the weight in them - pick one up and you know right away something is wrong.
I bought 1 for $99 and the second for $50, and i thought that was a good deal, yours sounds a little better!!
don't think the store I got mine from had a display, gotta check earlier next year!
Oh,, The ET&WNC "Eat Taters & Wear No Clothes" Line So I googled it from there, it's an early Baldwin type loco
Thanks for the help

All the ten wheelers (Big Hauler or Annie) are based on ET&WNC #12 -
Just saw those LEDs off, fill the holes, repaint and you're all set to go.

The one with the hideous LED lights along the sides of the engine, tender, and caboose. The question is what is it?? Is it a prototype engine or just a "toy engine"? I have 2 complete sets, one will remain with the garb and be used for the holidays the other will be atleast repainted and have those stupid lights removed, attached to a m-80, and blown to kingdom come!
Kudos to the GR staff for the article on painting the bachman train in the Feb issue, perfect timing. lots of good advice there!
