Sorry I didn't address that. I guess I just overlooked that part because Aristocraft is well known for being bullitproof. I like their stuff a lot. Hartland is also another good name. Although the Hartland stuff lacks some fine detail, their powertrains are excellent.

Aristo has a good reputation. Their prime mover gear boxes are pretty bullet proof. They occasionally have problems like everyone else but are known to do their best to make it right. Their service and parts department is first rate. They allow problems and grievances to be aired out on their forum and are typically answered by the guys who run the company. I wish all the large scale companies were so customer oriented.

Hi Robert

I'm not worried about the r/c installation. I'm more concered about the train itself, does aristocraft have a good name ???

Thanks for your patience

Curmudgeon is your man when it comes to r/c stuff. Maybe he'll chime in. I'm sure he'll know just how "straight forward" that installation is.

Hi

I'm new to trains and am concidering buying an Aristocraft 4-6-2 pacific. Does anyone own or have any thoughts about this train ??? I will be converting it to r/c, I gather this will be fairly straight forward. Thanks for your comments
