Go On-Line to his store !

Sounds like the cost of a "brick & morter" store in the age of the internet was too much.

He has a long list of SALE items and repeats that he will still make the Ball Bearing Wheels among othe items.

The only good news I saw was that He'll keep selling his own products online, but the store will only be open for about a month, till they sell off everything including the shelves!

Thanks for posting.  If it was not for this website, I would have found out too late.  It has been a pleasure for me shopping at San Val and buying from Al on ebay.  San-Val will be missed.  First Allied Trains (ok - - so it has 'moved') and now this!  Two big surprises.

I just picked up another set of wheels (my fifth) from Al before the word gets out the bidders go nuts. Its too bad someone else couldn't keep the store running. I hope Al has a happy retirement with lots of time to play with trains!

This place will be missed on both sides of the pond.  I have a loco and some sets of metal wheels which came from that source.

 Sad [:(]

That's too bad. Between Al and The Favorite Spot, those were my two favorite Evilbay sellers.
