The crapper's the most important part.

4 wheel stuff is the best for a railroad on a budget. They are small, can handle tight curves and are easy as pie to scratch.

I freelance too, and for the same reason. Finances, they're tight. And I can also have cars that just aren't available anywhere. Cars of my own design, cars from the plans in GR, cars that LGB never made but could have. Sure, they're little 4-wheel shorties, but that's what I like, and that's what looks best with my 0-4-0T locomotives...

You think they made that for you? Pops.....

We as G Gaugers haul coal, ore, and something in those box cars.

You ever seen MOW? Oh yeah, LGB toy like MOW but that would not touch my tracks! So I make it!

They look at the bottom line, not us!.....oh I did forget LGB track cleaner was a dam good MOW unit I will have to admit LGB put out.

IF we can get a board going that is nothing but wants with the people who make this stuff then we might get what we need and really want. Freelance it Baby.......

Take a look at Arsto's ad on the back page of current GR look's like the Old MDC 2 bay hopper only with improved underbody detail would realy like to see one upclose so I could compare both.

Has any Manufacturer ever met the needs of G Gauge people? Do they hear the crys, yes! Do they check to see if the market will hold up on that engine, yes. If not then there is no engine to play with.

How many times you have been set back by a Manufacturer date/s when your train was to come in???? 2X how many...... We are at there sword and is why I freelance.

Idea you people can start is a petition (online/web site)  of G Gauge people direction toward the Manufacturers.

Maybe Piko?

Apparently Piko somewhere down the line picked up the MDC molds for their G scale line up. They are already going to be reproducing a couple of the 1/32 scale cars and the 1/24 scale caboose and part of their new G scale line to bolster the new 0-6-0T coming out later this year or ealry next year.

If they got those mold, a revamped Hustler might not be too far behind, I just hope they enlarge the cab a little, it was never clear what scale it was nominally made at, could be 1/32, could be 1/24, either way its cab is very small and could use a little Ummph!

You should send an e-mail to Athearn or Horizon Hobby, who now owns MDC, and express your wishes to them.  If enough people start rattling their cage, maybe they'll wake up and smell the coffee.

How got mine was eBay.

Search "MDC Big Hustler" and save search but you need to open box all the way up.

On the bottom of box there will be "start time" (or something like that) click "Starting in a Hour"

Then click save and check your search ones to check it is there. Took me 3 months to find mine.

Note: there are some in other contries so that is big search area to but USA is normal.

I am placing most of my G Gauge stuff up but thinking of casting the Big Hustler for those who want it. And thinking of making spin offs of the different shapes of it.

Sad to see a nice critter go when your just entering g scale but they was new in 1992. Need Rene to call them, she has power, unlike us they would not give a time of day to. Maybe I am just in a bad mood.

Its just a rumor so far. There was something on their website about future production. Good news if you're modeling 1:32 as that's what most of their rolling stock was.
