it looks to me as they were yellow were you step and silver were they go into the body. can anyone confirm this please

Here are pics of my detailed dash-9s.  Red in front, silver on back. On the real thing, however, I believe they did have the yellow patch. I hope this helps.

Kato? Athern?.....Ahhh, wrong forum for those tiny scales... those units pictured are largescale, 1/29 scale Aristocraft jobs, and are almost 3' long each.

Hey, no harm, no foul Wink [;)], alot of new guys make the same error, there are so many forum here now even I get confused, but it looks like you got your answer more or less, if you have any others the related to Kato or Athern, post them in the Model Railroader "general discusson" forum or if its about a real railroad or engine, the Trains Magazine "general discussion" forum is the way to go. dont worry, you'll soon get familiar with the different forums here.Big Smile [:D]
