Not enough readership?

I doubt if they could run out of subject matter. It seems like everyone has at least one humorous item on their layout. I remember some of the things shown in this mag, like the railtruck being driven by a hillbilly with his huge pet grizzly bear sitting in the backseat, the dinosaur powered train, or the locomotive built to look entirely as if made of logs.

Kinda a shame to loose this creative outlet...

AWNUTS is an acronym for 'Always Whimsical, Not Usually To Scale' . It was a group of largescalers who would take a piece of rolling stock and turn it into something out of the ordinary, such as a rolling outhouse. I remember a small layout in a wheelbarrow!!

vsmith,
What was AWNUTS? Don't remember this one. Lots of snow here too pal. I'll see if I can find a reefer headed for L.A. and send you a load. Lot's to spare. My railroad is very much buried now. Almost two feet of snow in the last three weeks. Yikes. Glad I bought a new snowblower. Later eh...Brian.

Hello Dave

AWNUTS hasnt been published for several months, maybe a year, now and their webpage last i saw it said that the magazine had ceased publication, now the website is also gone so I dont think we'll see it again any time soon.

Does anyone know if this group is still going and if their publications are still available?

Thanks,

Dave B.
