Bachmann Big Hauler Sound Problem
Posted by jcgisel on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 11:40 AM
I set up a G scale layout in the front yard last year for Christmas and the sound in the 4-6-0 bachmann changed from sounding decent to really twangy chuffs. Any ideas as whet happened and how to fix it for this year? The set was bought used and was sold at Osh.

I generally yank those noisemakers out and install something that sounds right.

But, that said, what condition is the battery?

Does this "twang" change with volume changes?
Was it stored in a damp place, as in, speaker cone water damaged?

Two things spring to mind   Speaker is on way, out volume switch dirty with age both of these can be replaced quite easaly  Any good electic retailer or model shop should have what you require.    Hope this helps
