Vic, I'd suspect that one of those would tend to soften the plastic ties and throw the track out of gauge!    The resulting derailments would be a field day for the track inspectors and all the government know it alls!

John, what I was going to do was make a tanker from brass and have tubes (1 front, 1 back on left side then same on right) that could connect to a brass short pipe so I can slip the semi ridged clear pipe on (which oh has several drilled holes in it) and the whole thing would accept 5% to 20% acidity vinegar and then pull it around, fill when needed.

When using vinegar it has to be hot and the best part of the day. No showers, nothing. RR uses here 20% or weed burners with water.

Hi Ben

Well I have found the horror that lurks beneath.

I am told by the two work colleagues (they helped with the work) there is always one on this kind of job, sometimes you can DIY and sometimes you have to get some one in.

This one is a job for the professionals and the cause of me pulling the room apart, I now have a section or wall being held up by railroad tie and wooden wedges, which is better than what was there.

Since part of the foundations is so shoddily constructed it has broken up once a professional builder has sorted that, its easy for the three of us to do the rest.

Does any one manufacture a working weed-ex train I think the GRR will need one soon to clear the track bed of weeds

regards John

Semi of list for a while

Hi guys

Will not be around as much as usual for a while.

Will be house bashing as SWMBO's hidy hole needs some urgent work done to it,like the whole room stripped out and some remedial works done under the floor.

So far no real horror's lurking beneath but it will take my full attention untill done.

Will look in as much as possable.

regards John
