So is it working?
The LGB Southern Starter set was my entry into the world of G scale and I love that set. I have had it for a year and I have had no problems.
MANY THANKS!
FIXED!!!!
Your sugestion that there was a switch in the loco was spot on. I had looked on the bottom before, but not towards the top of the interior. Thank you again so much!
Gratefully,
Dennis
Thanks!
I will update my info accordingly! The wires connecting the loco and tenderhave been corrected. There is a volume knob on the base of the tender that was full clockwise and I have turned it a half turn counterclockwise.
A switch in the loco? That I will have to look for. I did not see one but that might help solve everything. The loco is a 2-4-0 for reference.
I have already contacted the store and may have to exchange it, but with Thanksgiving and all, everything is closed right now.
Thank you very much for your help!
I will try and help 2 things spring to mind is there a switch or volume knob on base of tender or have any wires from tender been attached to the loco? is there also a switch in loco cab? If you have done all of these then check with any retailer who should be only to happy to help, as a last resort take it back to where purchased and ask them to test run it for you. May I ask, if you put a rough idea where you are it helps people that are close by to help IE Train Buff London UK as you can see from mine that I live in the middle of England
Hi!
We're new to the Large Scale modeling and purchased a new LGB 72332 Southern Passenger set last week with some Christmas Cars for display and running around the tree. I have HO scale Marlin and DC as well in the house (not including the myriad of my son's GeoTrax).
However, upon putting it together and wiring it up tonioght, I am not getting any sound. No chuffing from the engine, no bell or whistle. I installed a fresh 9V in the tender as recommended, still to no avail. Any ideas as to what I am not doing? Is the unit defective? How would I know? The Loko looks awesome and runs smoothly, and my kids are enthralled, I am just disappointed in the sound (or lack thereof).
Any help is appreciated!
